  • Harpa-RTE: PID-controller monitors slack and actuates DVFS schemes

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLuGNYwaG1c&feature=youtu.be

Video showing the HARPA-RTE managing performance variability and ensuring TCS application meets deadlines. Concept of performance variability captured through the Slack metric. The RTE based on a PID-controller monitors slack and actuates DVFS schemes to mitigate slack (therefore performance) variability. In this case, performance variability is created due to functional errors and RAS mechanisms (instruction rollback) mitigating these errors.
